WEDDING INVITES

I can’t decide if I should go for Bespoke or Semi-custom. Which should I pick?

First up, congrats! Both are great options, and it really depends on your budget, flexibility and intricate preferences. For our fully custom Bespoke Suites, you get to infuse your own idea and develop your dream wedding invite from scratch. It’s one-of-a-kind, made just for you. For our pre-designed Semi-custom Suites, you'll still get to customise basic elements such as font colour and font style within a shorter time frame. All calligraphy will still be handwritten. Check out our Wedding Stationery Guide for more information.

I’m thinking of a paperless wedding invite. Is that possible?

While we appreciate the wonders of paperless invites, we embrace that irreplaceable feeling of running your fingers over a freshly printed invite. As such, we do not offer digital invites. However, we do provide a digital option for Save the Date if you go with our Bespoke suites.

Can I see a test print of my custom invite before they all go into printing?

Sure! We cater up to two rounds of test print for our bespoke suites and one round of test print for our semi-custom suites. You’ll have to approve them before we proceed with final printing. Feel free to refer to our Wedding Stationery Guide for more details.

Can you write the name and address of our guests the individual envelope and invite?

Most certainly, we take pride in our signature calligraphy addressing to complete the look of your custom stationery suite. Just be sure to select “Calligraphy Addressing” in your respective Bespoke Suite Brief or Semi-Custom Suite Brief.

How many invitations should I order?

Remember to count per household and not individual guest. Additional reprints are costly so we usually buffer an extra 20% as backup for last-minute additions or keepsakes. It’s always better to have a little more!

How many envelopes will be required for calligraphy addressing?

We usually cater an extra 20% of the total number of invitations you’ve ordered as backup.

When should I place an order for Bespoke invites?

Book your slots early! As we can only accept a limited number of bespoke orders a year, it’d be good to make inquiries as soon as you’ve booked your wedding venue. As the entire process may take 3 - 6 months, we usually recommend reserving at least 3 months for concepting, designing and printing. Then, give it another another 6 - 8 weeks to carefully pack it all together especially if you’ve requested for our signature calligraphy addressing of each and every piece of your wedding invite and/or envelope. Feel free to refer to our Wedding Stationery Guide for more details.

When should I place an order for Semi-custom invites?

This process may take 2 - 3 months. We recommend giving at least 1 month to buffer for design customisation and printing. And if you’ve requested for our signature calligraphy addressing of each and every piece of your wedding envelope, give it another 6 - 8 weeks for us to put everything together with love. Feel free to refer to our Wedding Stationery Guide for more details.

When should I place an order for Save the Date?

It’d be good to start planning your Save the Date once you’ve confirmed your wedding venue so that you can send them out 5 - 8 months before your wedding. Feel free to refer to our Wedding Stationery Guide for more details.

Do you offer your design services internationally?

Of course. We believe that we’re essentially global citizens of the same earth, and we’re excited to work with you. All final artwork will be shipped to your doorstep where possible.

OTHER WEDDING ITEMS

Do you offer other wedding design services beyond invites?

Absolutely. We offer a range of a la carte Finishing Touches for you to choose from and customise. They include items such as wooden welcome signs, wooden quote boards, place cards, illustrated maps, menu, gift tags, thank you cards, and more!

Can I order other wedding items even though I didn’t order my wedding invites from Littlewoodloft?

Sure, we strive to make your wedding experience a personalised and memorable one. Check out our Finishing Touches and tell us more about what you’d like to customise. Or if you’ve already got your own items (e.g., wooden boxes, blank book covers, acrylic panels, etc) but would like to personalise them with our signature handwritten calligraphy, we can arrange for that too.

Do you offer other creative services beyond the wedding universe?

Yup, our specialty is in calligraphy, watercolour and occasionally, we also take on copywriting and styling projects that we believe would be a good fit for our brand. Feel free to get in touch for more details!

CUSTOM CALLIGRAPHY

What’s the difference between hand lettering, calligraphy, and typography?

Think of hand lettering as decorative handwriting, an illustration of letters that come together as a whole with the overall composition in mind. Calligraphy, on the other hand, involves the consistent writing of a string of letters usually with a pointed nib pen. Both hand lettering and calligraphy are subsets of typography, which is the art of arranging different fonts to form a piece of art.

Do you offer custom calligraphy on items beyond paper?

Yes! You name it, we’d love to write on it. Leaves, pebbles, coasters. The amazing thing about calligraphy is that it can live beyond paper and bring just about anything to life! We provide custom hand lettering and calligraphy for gifts too. Simply drop us a note and tell us more about your idea, we’ll try our best to make it happen.
